As I return to my first love, I am reminded by Him that He takes us in His hands and molds us...He tries us by fire...He creates in us a clean heart. I am but a broken relic that He has made new.
I have a function,
a purpose to life
Past, present and future,
Ambitions, achievements and dreams
Yet none of these things will bring happiness...
Lonely...
I see myself as
Burned out,
unwanted
Sad and nostalgic
Searching for joy left unfound
Now I kneel on Holy ground
and I’ve found:
Through His grace,
I’ve been redeemed
More than a broken relic;
I see myself as
He
sees
me
In my weakness
He is made strong
In His arms,
he pieces me together again
Sealed with His love and mercy
And I
am more
than a broken relic…
Christ has given me
time after time
Chance after chance
to share in His love
And though
I have declined
many a dance with My Savior
He still asks me again
" Will you bow before me,
kneel at my feet, follow my lead?
Through His grace,
I’ve been redeemed
More than a broken relic;
I see myself as
He
sees
me
In my weakness
He is made strong
In His arms,
he pieces me together again
Sealed with His love and mercy
And I
am more
than a broken relic…
I'm pieced together by the potter for I am His clay
in all He does, I see He makes a way
Shines a light in my darkness
for all to see
-even me,
for I'm more than a broken relic....
